Hello everyone,
I have here this Schalburg cross. I believe thigh online research as well as searching WR archive here, to have a replica, do to the back and clapping hinge/ catch, etc. Jyst wanted to make sure before I put it in the scrap pile. So if there any experts out the on this kind of badge, please confirm my suspensions. Thanks as always, and Happy Holidays!
Here is another combat vet, a former double decal helmet (of what branch who knows) to which a coat of rough grey paint was brush applied in the field for camouflage purposes. You can make out the silhouette of the decal on the left, which clearly is not a Luft Adler, but I can’t determine what is under the paint, and I can’t make out anything on the right. Maybe it was scraped before the over paint. Anyway, it is a Q64, lot # 742, with an unreinforced aluminum banded liner with stained but supple leather and a complete but broken chin strap, named to Heer Bocker. Nothing exotic, just a solid combat used piece that to me screams "been there!" Hope you like it. Jim G.
Hello everyone,
My apologies if I’m posting this in the wrong forum, I wasn’t sure which to put it in. When I ran into these I got a little excited because I’ve never seen this badge. Now I’m wondering if it looks legit as fare as authenticity. Also, why would someone have received this badge with stickpin? Also what does the number, "#2," represent or which maker? Thanks in advance! Happy Holidays!
