M42 for considertion.

Hi everyone,

I have just been offered this nice M42 by a well respected dealer after I’d just missed out on purchasing a similar M42 on the weekend. It looks good to me but I’d still love some opinions. Just curious if the liner may have been replaced at some stage due to the darker paint on them. Also, do you think the liner condition matches the helmet. Looks used but but not quite in keeping with the rest of the helmet. Not sure of the size or maker marks etc so will ask for these.

Thank you,

Verwundetenabzeichen 1939 in Silber, 107 Carl Wild, Hamburg - 3 variants

Hi,

Wanted to show my Carl Wild collection with the 3 different variants I have found so far. Not sure how many there are, maybe its complete :)

The first variant is the most common and the others are not so easy to find.

Need help! Luftwaffe Flight Service Tunic

I found this Luftwaffe flight service tunic on the Collectors guild. The pictures aren’t the greatest but I wanted to get opinions on it before I decide if I should purchase or not. I don’t know much about these tunics but I’ve been wanting to add a Luftwaffe tunic to my collection cool militaria The site states that the tunic has no visible markings in it, is that a concern or just wear? Thanks!

Named Canadian Mk2 from Normandy

I have just acquired this helmet, from Normandy, seller found it in 1985, in the Hamlet of Cussy, near to Caen. Sold as a Canadian helmet, I cant find the makers mark (can anyone confirm this from these photos), though I think it might be beneath the rust (where the name appears). I have spent a long time looking at the painted details on the underside of the rim and I think it reads "CAPT MORE_ (then the helmet lug) and then _ _ 2x more unidentified markings.
I have tried to take photos of the painted marks and would appreciate fresh eyes looking at it, to see what people think.
I will take better photos in daylight shortly.
Regards Gary
PS the name appears to be painted with same paint used for the outside finish.
