Its time for another weeks vacation.
Taking the bimmer again for a drive all the way from Sintra, Portugal to Germany, Munich.
Departure, 8th of October, 4 am.

We will be staying there for a week and a half, making our base at Luzerne, Switzerland.
Going back and fowards between Switzerland and Germany.
We have sort of programme already, like BMW and Mercedes Museum, Obersalzberg, Eaglesnest, Dachau and a bit more.

Can i have some suggestions on more WWII sites nearby ?
Sites and locations, please.

I will be covering the trip on Instagram.

This banner is really long, it’s at least 12+ feet long, although I didn’t measure it yet, one sided, thin linen cloth, top pole/rod pocket. I’ve spent a couple hours researching it and right now, I’m not even sure it’s authentic. Due to the direction the eagle is facing. Too many examples are out there with so many variations my head is spinning, so I am asking for the help of all the much more knowledgeable members out there. Thoughts? Much appreciated.

Hi guys, a quick question if i may, I have recently purchased a RAF LAC uniform,
It carries two names, 466377 P Barnes and the name "E J Hawkins" which has been crossed out.

at the same auction, but in a differnent lot, I found a typed letter from P.Barnes son Roger, dated 1996.
The letter explains the service of both his father, and 1354388 Edwin James Hawkins (KIA 8/8/44)
Stating that his father had been issued the jacket after the former owner was KIA. (which could explain the missing brevet badge)

Although i have no real reason to doubt the letter, My question is, would a deceased airman’s uniform be re-issued?

Any thoughts appreciated as always.
