Hello all,
I have for review an M36 oberleutnant infantry officer jacket. Although Waffenrocks are my greater interest and this will likely find a new home, I think it’s still a nice piece! I am confident everything is good and original. A few questions: does the insignia look period applied? Can anyone read the label? It is very faded. I think I can make out ‘Lt. Grömmer’ and ‘IV. 43′.

Any other comments much appreciated!

I picked up a soldbuch that came with a dog tag.

Since the Germans put units on their dog tags, I presume they had to reissue them when a soldier was transferred? And, judging by all the soldbuchs and wehrpasses I’ve seen, that can happen fairly often. Still, it was hard enough for them to keep up with awards and entries into documents, so it seems hard to believe they actually did this. Did they reissue them, or did the soldier just keep the one they were first issued with as they moved about?

Hello is this SS tag real ?

Just found this tunic. Polizei tunic with SS collar tabs? No sleeve eagle, Polizei shoulder straps, blank cuff title. It’s all a mystery to me. Maybe it’s genuine, maybe it’s genuinely fake. Who knows? Cheers.

Hello all!

I was curious as to see if others may be able to authenticate this tunic on this site. It is being advertised as an "Elite Officer Tunic", so the seller may not be fully familiar with SS insignia. I can’t tell if there was ever a sleeve eagle present, nor should-straps, and much of the tunic appears damaged and well-worn. I understand photos can only do so much, and these aren’t exactly the best, any assistance in seeing if this is a good chance of being the "real thing" would be much appreciated. Thanks.
