Erkennungsmarken - Question?

Cleaning stuff out and found this old tag. It’s not in good shape. I have no idea where I got it. I’m bad about keeping records. Bad memory as well. I would sure appreciate any help, I don’t know much about these. Is this for the 179th Signal Battalion? Thanks Jay.

Tag Bears:

N.R. 136

Et 68 luft m42 (another bathtub)

M42 Luft that is a Giant !! It’s a 68 but because it’s M42…gives the impression of being bigger.

Love the pigskin strap with the ink stamped 41′ date & green painted buckle & studs. I love green buckles !! When I got this, the strap was stretched over the visor so tight, I had a hard time freeing it up. Left an indentation on the strap from the sharp edge of the visor. Must have been sitting like that for decades.

Has almost 100% of texture in paint..no signs of post war handling

Anyway..Thanks for looking

Japanese Army Bicycle

I’ve been collecting since about 1967 and I have to say that this is probably the coolest item I ever added to my collection. It was made by Yamaguchi Bicycle Industries and the rear fender markings read "32nd Independent Army Infantry Battalion #4". This unit was part of the 8th Regiment in North China and was later transferred to the 24th Division and sent to Okinawa in 1944 where this bike was probably captured. It’s all original except for the seat which was redone but I still have the original. The front tire is solid rubber and is still fairly supple. The rear tire is pneumatic, flat and hard as a rock. There is some shrapnel damage to the rear fender and the axel stand. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I’d own one of these!11035151103517110351911035201103523
