Description: Afternoon gents, here is a decent auxillery cruiser award made by Orth (FO), the appearence of the gold wreath has toned down to a brown colour due to lacquer having been period applied (common on kriegsmarine awards to fend off the salt air) I prefer paypal and it will be shipped by insured/tracked mail for free in the asking price. Thanks, Leon.

I was quite intrigued as to the RAD’s exact role with the police, were they involved in any of the "resettlement actions" of Reserve Police Battalions or purely there for normal policing duties?
Intrigued if any of the members have any information on this, as nothing is mentioned specifically about the RAD in any of the books I have read in regards to the Police Battalions (Hitler’s Willing Executioners, Ordinary Men: Reserve Police Battalion 101 and the Final Solution in Poland or Masters of Death: The SS-Einsatzgruppen and the Invention of the Holocaust, for instance)
Any information would be appreciated!
I would like your opinions on the authenticity of this piece of mine, which appears to have been issued to a Lithuanian volunteer (one Vytautas Akulauskas) of the Waffen-SS in March of 1945. It looks in pretty good condition, no tears or missing pages that I can see. The man’s photo is a little blurry and the admin stamps over the photo are all but faded away, but still barely discernible. The last entry/stamp in the book is from April 30th 1945.
So, is it good? The only thing that niggles me is that the SS runes on the cover are different from other SS Soldbuch I’ve seen in my limited research; they’re of the vertical type, and quite narrow.
Here is another half EKM I can add to the collection.
This one is for the 2. Kompanie Kraftfahr-Ersatz-Abteilung 4, with rollnumber 6161.
Regards, Rik
