Hi all, have just acquired this KM tropical M41, I think most likely (mint !) unissued. It’s a "hpc" (Hermann Potthoff of Coesfeld, Westphalia) and has the (I believe) fairly typical features for earlier examples from this maker - eagle flipped at the top and then zig-zag machine sewn, roundel/ cockade zig-zag sewn around, and no reinforcing stitch lines under the bill.

I have found other examples of this maker of the KM M41 tropical cap, both worn and unissued, and they seem to exhibit the same characteristics.

Later examples of this maker can be found with the RB number 0/0520/0017, or with eagles applied in the triangular form (straight stitched).

Hello, I got this ribbon bar belonging to Karl Leister and would like to do more research on him but I dont know any of his personal information. *All I have are scans of his award documents. *I just ask for some help to get started researching or anything anyone here could find on him.* Also is there anyplace I can research other than Ancestry as I will use that but without his personal information any Karl Leister could be him.

Picked up this M1 and liner , looks Canadian to me especially the chinstrap. Shell is rear seam with no marks at all other than gill 200 in marker , Liner is a Firestone with number 10, neckband marked…….neckband helmet liner combat and a DSA number I cant read. Any and all info appreciated Thanks !!!:)

What are your opinions on this buckle and belt set ?
The buckle is original but the belt seems post war or mismatched for a EM RAD.
