Researching i.d. bracelet of RCAF airman

Hi,

I have a silver i.d. bracelet marked with the name and serial number of an enlisted Royal Canadian Air Force airman. The name is R.C. Beamish, and the number is R160046. The bracelet was made in Toronto, Canada, by the Electric Chain Company, which was in business from 1916 to 1949.

My attempts at finding any mention of this airman anywhere have, so far, proven unsuccessful. I’m hoping somebody might be kind enough to provide some advice about this, as I’d like to return this bracelet to Mr. Beamish’s family, if at all possible.

No idea if this is real or not.

I assume it’s most likely a fake. My grandad passed away 7 years ago and this was in one of his storage units. It’s just been sitting in my drawer and I never looked up on if it was actually real or not. Let me know if I need more pictures of different sections. 1071525107152610715271071528107152910715301071531

Offiziers-Heim I.R. 74 Hamein

Does anybody recognize the unit garrisoneed at Hemein, Germany, probably WWII? The unit is I.R. 74. The unit crest is shown in the photo. I found a listing for a 74 Rifle Regiment posted with a Panzer Legion in Hamein. I couldn’t find a picture of the crest or the history of the unit. I believe the Officer’s Club was used after the war as a hospital for the POWs from Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.

Need help! Would like opinions on this German Cross…

Hi all.

I was approached about this German Cross and while something about it doesn’t sit right with me I feel compelled to get more opinions before dismissing it as a repro. Upon close inspection it appears to me that the outer black sunburst may have been repainted? I think I see some overpaint on the silver background piece in some areas (although those may simply be tarnished areas). Maybe that’s throwing me off. But also, the rivets on the back are larger than any other known examples I’ve seen where closed (solid) rivets are used. Lastly the date font is not like any other examples I’ve seen.

Having said all of that, there are a couple of other "tells" that are present on this one that are present on known originals. Those of you who know these awards will likely see them too. I’m torn!

Thoughts?

SS Panzer Wrap Opinions Please

Hello everyone. I was hoping you all could look at a panzer wrap I just picked up. I didn’t pay all too much for it, so if it’s bogus I wouldn’t be too upset. The collar devices seem a little wonky, but I am only just learning about SS collecting. If you need any more pictures please let me know. Thanks!!

Hi guys,
here is one Wehrmacht flak badge without maker mark. Is it possible to determine from these pictures who was a maker of this badge ? For sure if it is good one what I hope.
Thank you,
