These 2 coins i found near berlin on my last trip to germany they are in a pretty sad condition, but they have been in the earth since 1945 😀

Hello all,
Thought I’d share. Purchased a reichskolonialbund pin from bunker militaria. After doing some research it was evident this was a fake. Bunker militaria offered a full refund right away but withheld 8 dollars in shipping. Add that to the money I spent to send the pin back. I understand if I decided I didn’t want the pin, but this was a fake issue. I will not be purchasing from them again. Has anyone else had dealings with bunker militaria? Maybe I’m just one bad experience.

This applies only to "s" marked examples. See the pebbling in the enamel, that should be uniform with 9 dots in the right corner. Also the "s" should have sharp flat style to the ends of the letter, and finally the oval around the s should be more rounded. To this fakes credit the border around the swastika looks good. Many fakes don’t have the proper border, they leave no space.

Hello

I have here a grouping of paperwork, concerning the Home Guard battalion based in Tonbridge. I bought it on impulse, purely on the fact that the town is somewhat local to me. It features two maps, one apparently official, the other a hand drawn example. A battalion photograph, and an invite to a stand-down parade on the 3rd December, 1944. Also included is a postwar map apparently salvaged from a local newspaper, showing the locations of all known V1 ‘Doodlebug’ impact sites.

I find this grouping particularly fascinating, being able to travel through the town centre and pick out where everything was. It’s also a sobering reminder of that time, that the conflict was once right on our doorstep.
