Need help! German helmet, Restoring or just cleaning it?

Hello everybody. So i just recently acquired this helmet, an M40 i believe, with a part of the liner and washers for a good price. You can barley see the decal on it, and some painting is still visible. And so my question is: Should i restore it, or just clean it? If so, how should i do it? Any advice would be nice:) Thanks. Photos attached.

The wirlwind on public display

On May 27 28 the wirlwind that I have been posting photos of, will be on public display at the Ontario Regt Museum in Oshawa Ontario, they will be raising funds for it’s restoration.
This is the same weekend that the Museum gets most of it’s tanks ect running and have displays and re-enactments.
Weather permitting I will be there doing a WW1 Display. A good day for all

Timecapsule Bomb

Sometimes your Lucky enough to get a dagger in fully mint condition, like in a timewarp being thrown back 80 years and get it straight from the factory.
The grey finish fully there, the golding on the swastika’s are 100%, a pair of hangers and portepee that fit the condition of the dagger with its fully mint blade, and on top its filt storage bag.
Well i let the pics do the talking…enjoy them!
Best
Ger

DLV ring

Well, after yesterday’s trials and marathon debates, I thought you guys might enjoy seeing this baby. It’s one of my favourites.

This is a pre-war ring worn by members of the euphemistically named Deutscher Luftsportverband (DLV; German Air Sports Association). The DLV was an organisation set up by the Nazi Party in 1933 to establish the widespread, consistent training of military pilots. Replaced in 1937 by the NSFK, they trained clandestinely in the Soviet Union. Hope ironic is that? As you know, this organisation eventually transformed into the mighty Luftwaffe.

The silver mark inside the band is hard to read, even with a magnifier, as it’s pretty worn. I believe it is ‘825′.

Need help! Spanish Blue Division Medals

I recently started collecting Spanish civil war and WWII Blue Division items to supplement my TR collection. I picked up this great medal bar containing Spanish Order of Military Merit with Red Distinction (on the left), Spanish Blue Division Royal City Volunteers Cross (center) and the Blue Division Russian Campaign Medal (right). Based on my research of images they all appear authentic however, having never seen or held the campaign medal in person, its seems almost too flat / small, though nicely detailed. I’ve read all the other posts on the forum regarding the talons, etc . but I’m still not sure despite comparing images. Any help would be appreciated
