Description: Hello all,
Here’s your chance to pick up an unbelievable DD police M40 lid. This one is complete with a dome stamp and the decals would rate at near perfect. Light wear to the interior liner and is about as nice as they come. Shell is SE64 stamped and with a 6386 lot number. This is the nicest DD Polizei that I have ever come across!

Description: Hello all,
Here’s your chance to pick up a fantastic combat helmet with some real character! This used M35 Heer helmet was struck with a bullet at some point that luckily did not pennetrate into the shell. The liner system is fully intact. NS66 stamped shell and complete with a 1937 dated chinstrap. Certainly a conversation starter and a bit different than the rest on the shelf…

From my collection. Another example of ‘failed’ state material which seems common though out history even to this day.
I’m guessing you don’t see these very often. Interesting that it would ‘pay off’ until 1966 after the final ‘Victory’ was achieved (assuming the defeat of the Soviet Union)! Any translation would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Gary

My second hat, received just yesterday, is a Post War issued hat dated 1952. The puggaree is dated 1955 and has the RAAF flash on the right hand side.
Unlike my RAAF hat, this has only 2 side vents abd the edge of the brim is trimmed.
