Naval officer of the watch telescope 1899 dated

In need of some TLC but still working with clear optics, a 1899 dated naval officer of the watch telescope. this type were typically Royal Navy used but this one has no proof of such use as it is unmarked but usually dated examples are from the services.

It is maker marked J. Hammersley London qnd has a15" long barrel with an extendable lens shade and a flipover eye cover.

Hopefully I can restore it without too much hassle.

A good site on these is this one. https://telescopecollector.wordpress…-of-the-watch/

WW1 Gloucestershire Badged Brodie

Found at the carboot this weekend, a very nice Gloucestershire Badged Brodie, missing the liner, seller only valued it at £10, so I managed to get them to include an old bicycle pump for that price. Can’t make out the makers details very well, all that I can see is /O342 ?

SS matchbox (streichölzer) ?

Hi guys, i hope im in the right section here, if not please move it.

I found this little matchbox on a flea market and paid about 5 usd for it, just for the sake of it even though im sure it’s a fantasy item. But then i googled "deutsche streichölzer " and found pictures not on the SS but other boxes with propaganda pictures and same type of layout on the "Deutsche Streichölzer " with the eagle. Could this be a genuine piece you think?

Thanks/Fred

M42 EF68?? or 66? What do you think.

Was out at a small local show today. Was NOT going to buy anything, just wanted to pass some time. Most of the items at these shows are fake anyway…. But spotted this at a table.

Finally an un-messed with no decal M42. I then turned it over and unfortunately the liner was in less than perfect shape. Maybe blood damage…I not sure. Oh well…time to move on.

But then I looked at the size…it appears to be a hard to find sized 68 (but could be a 66. )

What do you guys think???? Is it a sized 68??

Anyway, was not going to buy it, but I wanted to save this helmet. It’s a nice sized lid, paint is fantastic and a getting harder to find "No Decal". And while the liner has seen better days, it is orignal and the split pins are perfectly flat.

I think this is a great starter helmet and will be happy to pass it off to someone else at pretty much the cost I paid for it. Which by the way was 40% less than the asking price and near relic levels.

1945 MkIV Helmet

I have been watching for a MKIII for sometime but can’t find one in my price range so when I found the 1945 dated MKIV in a garage sale I had to buy it. The shell and liner are both BMB 1945 marked.
