Got quite excited by this one, but with my limited knowledge, I’m presuming it’s fake, as the hardware on the hinge isn’t oval, being cut off on the sides. Also it doesn’t appear to be in Fischers informative post on them.
Again apologies for the picture quality, and thanks in advance for looking, and any opinions.
Hi folks, This is not my area of study at all, flag toppers. So after looking at the past threads that similar had been deemed original, I would like any opinions on this piece. Thank You for your help.
Kevin
I discovered these two pins in a very old estate in Denver. I have provided some photos that hopefully show up below. Any information is appreciated I’m looking to sell these. Both are marked m1/72 RZM (eBay sales does not allow items such as these so I figured a forum like this would be best)
Hello everyone, I had a friend tell me about this helmet, it was for sale at a thrift shop. I lived nearby so I went straight over there. I looked the helmet over and was fairly sure the liner and everything is correct but the grey paint is something I have never seen before. I decided to purchase it and after examining it some more I think it is possibly original grey paint too, minus the iron cross decal that was once applied to the right side. Any info would be appreciated, thanks again.
I need some experts to tell me if I wasted 4 c notes on buckles.I wish I was smart enough and find your site first before I bought this stuff.
Thanks for your time, Floyd. Ps. How do I post pictures?
Would like to ask a question on the following purchase I made….labeled as a ‘German WWI Cavalry Trooper’s sword and scabbard.’ Does anyone maybe know what exact kind or state? Pre WW1 date (1900), bakelite grips, imperial Erfurt arsenal stamp. Both sword and scabbard are matching unit marked. Can anyone shed light on "50.A.6.33"? Also, I can’t make out the maker’s stamp (?) on the opposite side of the Erfurt stamp. Looks like "(top line) P.D. (bottom line) Lunnsohl" (?) Also, the two very tiny stamps on the very bottom of the blade side near the hilt….are those just inspector’s stamps like on firearms?
How do you think it looks for my first sword? Thanks in advance!
