German Applegreen 1 Decal Helmet

Hello everyone, just bought this applegreen German worn helmet with a singular decal. I am new to collecting German militaria, but I am a cautious buyer. This helmet is from a trusted seller. Everything checked out and seemed fine with me. Can some experts check out the decal and the helmet in general to make sure it looks authentic? These may be basic questions, but what do the numbers and letters in the interior of the helmet mean? Where were applegreen helmets such as this one used, in Europe as camo in places like forests? This is an M-40 helmet, correct? If I am correct, these type of helmets originally had 2 decals (on the other side the national emblem decal) but were removed as per regulations? Some applegreen helmets have the second decals, while others and this one do not. Some help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.

for sale Q66 M35 SD reissue Heer combat helmet

by: all1knew

Description: Hello all,

Here’s your chance to pick up a super M35 reissue helmet. The interior of the shell is still apple green which suggests it started life as a true double decal. As per 1940 regulations however, this one was repainted with a rough texture finish and issued again with only the one decal. This is a Q66 size shell and has a size 58 liner that I believe is pigskin. The chinstrap was period shortened and is complete with aluminum buckle. For sure this helmet saw a lot of action and is a real combat Veteran!

Kriegsverdienstkreuz 1 klasse mit schwertern - L/12 Junckers

Evening all,

This kriegsverdienstkreuz is available and it is by a maker that I don’t have… Juncker.

Given that all the wash has disappeared and now there is just the zinc on show, is this a desirable / difficult to source cross to have given the maker?

Part of my collection

Hi everyone

I wanted to share a part of my collection. I’ve been collecting anything TR related for couple of years, getting more and more into the hobby. I’ve only recently started collecting awards, pins etc. I have a bunch of stamps, feldpost and papers. I’ve also collected some dishes and dinnerware. Most interesting things I have so far are the AH book with all pictures collected, the SS newspaper and the olympic bell made by KPM for Berlin olympics.

I also have an interesting feldpost correspondance from the front to home over couple of years. Interesting to see how he got promoted at one point and so on. Too bad the handwriting is really hard to read. Would love to know the story of the people behind the letters.
