Description: Hello all,
Here’s your chance to pick up a gorgeous visor that I just picked up today. What makes this cap extremely exciting is the fact that it is named to a “Schmidt” and is with partial RZM tag sewn in under the sweatband. There were some serious historical personalities with this last name that also held the rank of Kreisleiter at one time; if only the hat could talk…At any rate, this one is on the larger side, and I would guess around a 57 or 58 in size. The visor does show some signs of crazing and the cap overall shows normal period wear and does have some minor moth nips but no major issues whatsoever. You will not be disappointed with this one on your shelf.

William Kramer
A bit harrowing too, where he was wounded in Syria fighting the Vichy French (mostly ex Foreign Legion soldiers), and spent
26 hours lying out on the battlefield with his badly wounded right leg (which would be amputated when he was found and
placed in a makeshift hospital), he had to fight exhaustion and blood loss, but kept a tourniquet tied around the leg above
the wound, and had to keep from passing out, or he would have simply bled to death.
He went on to a very highly praised life in the public service after he was discharged from the Military.
A good read if you can find a copy of the book….
