I recently acquired a couple of war dated Aertex shirts, so I am looking for advice on the preferred method for cleaning. Is hand washing the best way to clean these pieces, is dry cleaning even an option? What do you guys normally do?

Can anyone offer additional info for this soldier based on the these markings? STAB SS/PI 723
I know he was in a SS Pioneer Battalion and I believe Stab means Staff and isn’t his name but I can’t locate any details regarding the 723
It’s not a Feldpost number and I’ve been unable to verify any SS unit with that number. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A old box of what I believe to be wartime German Candles?

As per usual, a story came with the Candles… these were "found" in a U-Boat Base in France :rolleyes:

I can’t remember where they came from or how I acquired them… just remember them as "U-Boat Candles".

They are all stuck together now.

So, any ideas my friends?…

Looking through an old photo album and noticed a type of RAD sidecap I have never seen before. I am assuming it is an early variation but wanted opinions from the RAD men here.

The cap in question look similar to the Robin Hood style but without the brim.
