Thale helmet prototype question

I looking for information/pictures regarding the Thale helmet prototype.
I also read the east german helmet Gerät 605 was based on the Thale helmet, is this true?
The 605 Helmet seems to be similar to the polish wz67.

Need help! Identifying WW1 Uniform Type

I was curious what uniform this was and what medal that is? It looks like an iron cross to me and a M1910/14 Feldbluse. Am I correct on this?

Question Request for a more dedicated preservation thread?

Hello to everyone,

I was just wondering if it were possible to start a more dedicated thread on a more in-depth study of preservation methods.

I was reading "Saving Stuff" by Don Williams and Louisa Jaggar, Smithsonian Conservators. With the goal of better understanding the means by which to preserve one’s artifacts (that we spend hard earned money on) for our own appreciation and for future generations. The value of a collection or item is in its condition and level preservation.

Archival boxing, acid free tissue paper, document preservation, photographic storage, humidity levels, proper ways to clean items, etc.

Is it possible to expand on this avenue and help each other with preservation methods?

Thanks everyone, Tim
