Original Heer Buckle? What do you think?

Hello Gents,

This buckle is for sale at a local shop. I checked out the prongs and the dimensions (16mm) are good. There aren’t any maker’s marks on it that I can see.

I think it’s a legit, albeit very worn buckle and I’m probably going to pick it up. I just wanted to see what you guys thought before I dove in. This website and the Nash book have made me feel a more comfortable in my searches.

Thanks!

-Derek

Need help! Polish Collar Insignia

Hello friends! A couple of years ago I purchased 9 boards from the family of a US 9th Armored truck driver. The boards had many items attached to them both cloth and metal. The condition of the boards was very bad and they were deteriorating. I removed all of these collar tabs from the boards. Also in my images you will find a note from the GI that souvineered the boards. Can anyone please help me ID these tabs… I know very little about polish collar devices. From my research I think there may be some good ones here, but I’m not sure which is why I’m asking. Thank you!

Military Operations France And Belgium 1914 - 1915

A recent purchase of mine… Military Operations France and Belgium 1914, volume 1 & 11 text, volume 1 & 2 maps. Military Operations France and Belgium 1915, volume 1 & 11 text, volume 1 & 11 maps. Strictly speaking - not from WW1, the first book being published in 1922. All volumes were formerly housed in the Royal Engineers library. The volumes are highly detailed accounts of the battles. There are approximately 1800 pages and about 80 large fold-out maps covering from August 1914 to the end of 1915. my aim is to eventually have the full set - about 26 volumes.

Steve.
