Here is your chance to own something truly unique. This is a 1939 dated Luftwaffe saxophone. This type of thing will appeal to many collectors and not just music lovers. Truly would be a centerpiece in most collections and an excellent conversation piece as everyone recognizes a saxophone. I believe it is silver plated brass with Mother of Pearl accents. It’s Cased and complete with accessories and appears to be numbered like a weapon. There’s a DRGM marking as well. It is engraved and was Fliegergruppe Brandenburg issued. I was told this is a B flat tenor sax. Included in the case are additional accessories such as music holder, extra reeds, a polishing cloth, etc. and while the case does appear of the era, it is stamped made in the USA. The instrument is 100% fully functional, though has not been conditioned in some time. If you look at the price of vintage instruments from the 30’s and 40’s you’ll see that the price is a bargain - not to mention this one is engraved like it is! Regardless of the maker, this is a very nice badge with much patina in the deep recesses and of the highest quality. Guys, I posted this a few days ago, so if I maybe allowed to let folks know by posting here (?), this post is a heads to let buckle loving members know

I’m trying to pay some car related bills… so get this one before I come to my senses and change my mind. I wouldn’t be doing it if I didn’t need the money.

I recently bought a collection from Guernsey and in amongst were some shoulder boards. Last night whilst going through some photos I suddenly realised that the shoulder boards with the slip on F 152 were similar to the ones in the photo. I have no idea what the correct terminology for these slip on thing’s is, but what I would like to know is what the F 152 actually stands for. If anyone could let me know it would be much appreciated.

Hello forum.

I read an old post from Larry about sa dagger
From klittermann & Moog and just wanted to share my piece
By that maker.
Blade has a lot of in and scratches, but still retain some Nice crossgraining and Nice Dark etching on the blade.
Grip is Lovely Dark with beautifull toning in the wood or stribes if you Like.
It has gruppemark WM for Westmark.
Hope you Will Like this one.. comments and opinions welcome.

Hi All,
I picked up this wicker pannier yesterday. It was in a bit of a state with mildew and a bit of worm and a hole in the top which I am planning on fixing. It is lined with thin galvanised steel and originally had a base soldered into it as well.

I gave it a light pressure wash to clean the cack off it and it came up quite well.

It is approx 25" X 14" X 14" and dated on one of the wooden runners . It is the first time I have come across a metal lined one, did it have any special use ?

It was formed in February 1945, consisting of remnants of 8th SS Cavalry Division Florian Geyer and 22nd SS Volunteer Cavalry Division Maria Theresia, including former’s SS Pionier Battalion 8, in addition to mostly 16- or 17-year-old German, Hungarian Volkdeutsche, and ethnic Hungarian recruits. The division was intended to have three cavalry regiments of two battalions each, but due to lack of men and equipment it could only field two understrength regiments as its main combat units.
