We have very few of these shown on the forum. Much smaller than those worn by other branches of the services. Some are zinc, while others are alloy with a gilt finish. The other difference is of course some are actually named.

So here are mine. All brought home by the same British Officer.

Das Abteilung wurde am 25. November 1939 in Fulda, Wehrkreis IX, aufgestellt. Die Abteilung wurde durch die 6. bis 9. Kompanie der Kraftfahr-Ersatz-Abteilung 9 aufgestellt und unterstand der Division 159. Am 23. Januar 1940 wurde die Abteilung nach Rudolstadt im gleichen Wehrkreis IX verlegt. Ab dem 1. Oktober 1940 unterstand die Abteilung der Division 179. Am 22. November 1940 stellte die Abteilung den Divisions-Nachschubführer 92 auf. Am 1. Oktober 1942 wurde die Abteilung in je eine Kraftfahr-Ersatz-Abteilung 15 und eine Kraftfahr-Ausbildungs-Abteilung 15 geteilt. In die Ersatz-Abteilung wurde Ende Februar 1943 ein Teil der aufgelösten Kraftfahr-Ersatz-Abteilung 29 eingegliedert. Beide Einheiten unterstanden ab dem 1. April 1943 der Division 409. Am 10. April 1943 wurden die beiden Abteilungen als Kraftfahr-Ersatz- und Ausbildungs-Abteilung 15 in Rudolstadt vereinigt. Am 24. Juni 1943 wurde die Abteilung nach Gera, Wehrkreis IX, verlegt. Am 20. August 1943 wurde die Abteilung nach Gelnhausen, ebenfalls Wehrkreis IX, verlegt. Am 1. November 1943 wurde die Abteilung zur Kraftwagen-Transport-Ersatz- und Ausbildungs-Abteilung 15 in Gelnhausen umgebildet.
