DRK Missing Persons Books

Hi Everyone - I’m a brand new member, and this is my first thread! My late father collected German WWII Militaria, and I’m doing my best to learn about the items we have and make sure they go to good homes. We have about 100 of these missing persons books. Most are green, some are red. I’m looking to learn as much as I can about these books. What to look for, how to advertise them, which may be more desirable and rare, and a general price we should expect. I’ve at least found that the last page is a summary index of the regiments covered in the book. I also noticed a small number stamped on the inside of the back cover. Any idea what that might mean? Thanks!!

Battle of Liepāja - 2 Kompanie; 139th Battalion Erkennungsmarke; Battle of Saldus, Latvia 1944 - 2.Kp.Bau.Btl.139

I’ve recently got this erkennungsmarke dug from the Saldus area near the battle grounds of 1944 Liepaja.

I’m believe it is an authentic tag for the font used on the tag. Can you give me your opinion on the legitimacy of this. Again, it looks good to me, but the font isn’t seen on the tags I have in my collection.

Regards,

Nickel Heer

Very pleased to add another one of these rare reverse facing buckles to my collection. Not sure who the maker is but the very small beak give me a few ideas.

MVSN tunic

I obtained this MVSN tunic several years ago and recently got it out of storage. Unfortunately the fascios have been removed. I would welcome opinions as to the originality of this tunic as I am considering restoring the missing fascios. Thank you for your assistance.

Question Genuine M15 Liner & Chinstrap

Ok, so I’ve been looking for a helmet like this for a while and I am seriously considering buying it - I’m fairly sure of its authenticity, but I just want to make sure that the liner and chinstrap are genuine of the First World War.

SS Wool Armband with RZM Tag

Click to the picture to follow the sales

by: ineedcoffee

Description: For sale is a beautiful blood red, SS armband with RZM tag. Two corners of the tag are partially torn (SS runes are partially viewable) and still attached to the armband. The armband has a tiny moth nip on the back but it does not detract at all. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. US sales only, free shipping! Thanks for looking!
