Been a while since my last thread, but this one has stumped me. Came in a box of stuff I got from a dealer. Anyone know what it’s from?

My first Japanese sword, an officer gunto.

The blade was covered in grease (As in my last post). I very carefully cleaned it. The blade has some old pitting and is not in my ideal condition but I am still very happy with it and it displays nicely. The tang does not appear to be signed but a small mark could perhaps go unnoticed? This weapon is still quite sharp and the cutting edge starts at the Habaki. The cutting blade is just over 26 ” and the whole gunto is just under 36” long.

1) I must take pictures of many badges for friend (this is only 25%)
2) Badges look better in hand than in picture (to great detail?)
3) Lights but avoid reflection.
4) Each badge different!

Suggestions to improve?

Hi folks, I bought this Luftwaffe tunic eagle many years ago whilst on holiday in the channel islands although I’m sure it is original (though probably unissued ) could it be possible that it is infact a Fallschirmjager jump smock eagle due to the green denim type background I look forward to your thoughts, Regards, Paul:D
