New Book: The U.S. M3 / M3A1 Submachine Gun “Grease Gun”

Hello everybody,

I just want to let you know that I have finished a new book.

Maybe it is of interest for some of you ;-)

U.S. M3 / M3A1 Submachine Gun "Grease Gun"

The book gives an insight into the history of this extraordinary weapon, from its development and the trials at Aberdeen via the manufacturing process to its use in conflicts around the world. It also describes rare versions in different calibers (.30 M1, 9×19), patents, changes in manufacturing and construction drawings, accessories (pouches, tools, training devices, curved barrels, etc.), manuals & instructions, foreign made copies (China, Agentina, etc), silencers, markings, repair and replacements, training on the weapon and ammunition (ball, tracer, etc.). The majority of the illustrations is in color.

- German language only (sorry no English edition planned)

- 208 pages (bound with hardcover)

- large size (7.9 x 12 inch / 21 x 30 cm)

United States World War 2 Victory Medal NIB post war

A new find I stumbled upon in an out of the way shop run by a nice little elderly lady.
I think this is from 1984 because of what looks like a date on the box. It is still in its original plastic bag, and thus the photos reflect my hesitancy to remove it from the bag. Sorry about that.
Thanks for looking!

Dutch m34 schalkhaar police re-issue

Hi.

I wasn’t very sure where to put this helmet exactly as the schalkhaar police was a national socialist organisation working with the Germans, so I thought I’d put it here.
Im 100% sure that the helmet itself and the liner are authentic, however, I’m not sure on the decals. The grenade on the front looks good, but i need confirmation of the painted grenade and flag on the sides of the helmet. You rarely see schalkhaar police helmets with those decals on the sides which worries me.

And also if I’m getting a good deal. The asking price is 265 euros. Theres not really a general market for these things as they’re fairly rare and unique as far as my knowledge extends. Anyway, here are the pictures.

Sorry for the crudeness of the screenshots, the pictures on the site wwere protected not only by the watermark, so I couldn’t save them.

British Pistol lanyard?

Purchased at antiques show. I think it is a pistol lanyard but can not find any examples. If it is would it be appropriate for an Enfield no2 Mk1* revolver? It is dated 1943 with broad arrow.

Forum running slow

Is it just me or does there seem to be a really log lag time on the forum today? Takes forever for any posts to open for me to read. In some cases it even times out

I’ve tried my phone, table and my PC.

Have connected using wifi, cellular data as well as my hardwired internet.

And tried to connect in two different cities many hours apart.

Given that I’ve used three different devices and three different ways to connect in two different cities I doubt it is just me.

Michael
