SS Dagger

I recently found this dagger in a deceased family members belongings and would like some information about it. According to my family it was given to my uncle, an American soldier, in 1946 by a German solidier at a POW camp in Belgium. I was told the German gave it to my uncle in appreciation of his fair treatment of the man while being held at the camp. I don’t have any details beyond that. Thanks in advance for any help offered.49.4 KB97597697597748.2 KB49.0 KB

Custom Luger and 1911 “Battle of the Bulge” Display Cases

Hey Guys - Just noticed that there was a Luger specific forum on the site and thought I’d share a recent display project. I tried to include a lot of details relevant to both sides of the battle, with specific division/unit symbols, a reproduction of the original German surrender demand, and a map of the Bastogne area - I hope you like it!

More info and other WW2 projects on my Facebook page if anyone might be interested: https://www.facebook.com/CustomHistoricalDisplays/

Thanks,
Scott

War Aid Battledress Blouse, R.A.S.C.

I have just acquired this nice War Aid Battledress Blouse.

The accompanying photograph and notes from the family state:

T/10699805, Cpl Farr, H.J.
NCO Release (Dept) H.Q.
934 Tpt Coy, RASC (ACA); C-M-F
Acting I/C Administration Section and Chief Clerk for Company

I am unsure what some of the terminology means: ‘ACA’ and C-M-F and certainly have no idea what Division 934 Tpt Coy was attached to.

The threads below the R.A.S.C. title may indicate that a formation patch has been removed. I am in two minds about whether to reinstate the correct patches or leave ‘as is’.

Harry John Farr (02.06.1922 – 14.04.2011) joined the R.A.S.C. on 14.05.1942 and served in North Africa and Italy.

As always, comments and advice are gladly received.

Martin

Thinking of purchasing flag, looking for opinions

hey guys, I have the opportunity to purchase this NSDAP flag that is signed by soldiers of the US army. Theres definitely alot of cool research to be done with this one. My dilemma is the following, im on a tight budget due to school expenses but I just cant resist the temptation of this piece.

Looking for opinions on the piece, how common are signed flags? whats a fair price to pay for one?

Thanks,
Phil

US Mk. II Grenade

Hi everyone! I picked up this MKII grenade. I believe it is labeled AF for American Fireworks. Not sure what "E" means. I "think" everything is correct and period original.

It does kind of lean a bit at some angles from uneven grinding on the bottom, so that’s not the photo. Surprisingly heavy at 533 grams all together (minus the explosives and percussion cap of course).
