Hello , I just came across 2 helmets. One looks like it does not have authentic decals , the other I can not tell. I have posted a picture , is it authentic?

Hi,
Picked up this bag the other day. Purportedly it came from the estate of a ‘British officer who served in Germany’ and used for shotgun cartridges.
I think it is american and ww1 or earlier. The canvas was a green colour used up to the 1920s, the inside is blue-grey, and its stamped "citadel workshops, dept of stores (can’t read the rest).
Anyone got any ideas?

I just checked the extended weather forecast for the area where I live and we will be blessed with mid 90 to 100 degree F temperatures with high humidity until mid September. It appears I will be spending a tidy sum on cold beer for the next 60 days. Mowing my 3/4 acre lawn at sunup.

When I was younger the heat didn’t bother me now it causes me a severe case of limp dick that could be a combination of the heat and alcohol. :weep:

My wife suggested that I take a tranquilizer but I can’t drink beer and take tranquilizers at the same time I am to damned silly now. :confused:

I found this today for 60 dollars. I tried to look on the Internet to see what part of the jeep it goes too. It seems like it’s hard to find these with the leather straps that are originial to the piece. I was curious what the numbers 1 and 2 is referring too. I hope I did well on price. Interesting scabbard

Hi Guys,

I bought this M35 DD shell one week ago. The helmet looks like as a reissued helmet, and got a rough texture paint.
I have a question. I would like to see more from decals. It looks like they over painted the decals too. How can I remove the paint from there? Is it a good idea, or I have to forget immediately?

Hi all,

I have owned an M-43 Spanish Mauser for many years. The bolt matches the receiver as do the other parts, however the safety is mismatched. The bore shows very sharp rifling, but is dark. I see no rust. It is in very good condition, but certainly not pristine. Date is 1947.

I have never fired it, but am interested in doing so as soon as it cools down in AZ.

Question: is it safe to fire with surplus military ammunition? Any ideas as to value?
