AIF Engineers Folding Saw

G’day all,
These do not pop up very often and are an interesting concept, so I thought I would share my latest find.
An engineers/armoured personnel chain saw? I am not sure the offical term for this tool. This one was probably been made in Australia but I am not sure, can someone ID the makers mark? A nice minty almost complete set (a shame its missing it’s file). I had to spend an eternity getting the old paper and grease off, and gosh the blades were sharp!

I hate to think of the effort required to cut down even a small tree with this!! :shok_yikes:

Flag With Clips

I had seen this flag at an antique mall, and was just curious what flags used these clips and to see what anyone knows about them.

Museum mount for my Feldflasche

Hi Guys,

Trying to come up with a more unique way to display my Feldflasche than just laying it around, I saw some photos of different artifacts that were "museum mounted" and thought I’d give it a try. Since I work at a business where they do welding, I had one of the guys take a piece of 1/8" steel filler rod and a couple of pieces of 3/32" rod and weld them into an "H" shape. To that he welded a length of 3/16" rod for the stand. After a lot of bending and trial fitting, I found an agreeable angle that not only holds the bottle & cup but also holds the hook in place. The metal work was then painted flat black. I then made a small oak base to finish it off. If I want to remove the flasche from the stand, it just lifts right out.
Now it takes up much less space in the display cabinet and I can lay other items around it. Thanks, Bob

German Horsemans badge and stickpin

L. Chr. Lauer Nürnberg-Berlin made badge and stickpin that I just got today. I think it is an original war time set but would like opinions from some more experienced eyes.

Thanks
Steve
