Can anyone help me ID this flag. All I know about it is that my grandfather brought it home with him from WW2. As with most WW2 vets, He never really talked about where he got it, how he got it or anything related to the war. Obviously it’s the rising sun but not sure about the symbol on the flag itself. Any help would be great.

Hi folks, Here are three Feurwerker patches from my collection. The patch was issued in dark green, Feldgrau and tropical backing. The middle example has silver edging. I have read different descriptions about the use of silver piping and just want to confirm the purpose. As I understand, the Feurwerker was an ordnance NCO and the silver piping denotes length of service. I am still trying to come up with a decent reference list for my own collection and for others to use. Feedback welcome. Neil

Picked this up in Krakow last week while looking for TR items, it’s dated November 89 so it was made right at the end of the communist era. As well as this puma camo the shop had the Moro and raindrop pattern caps, for collectors of Polish militaria i reckon this place is well worth a visit, I’d guess about 80% of his stock is Polish!…
