SS dagger help please

Hello all
Please have a look at the attached photos and let me know what you think.
This is a dagger I may buy, depending on your comments.
I’m told the mark with the RZM logo is M7/5.
Sorry for the photos but that’s all I was sent.
Many thanks
John

World War II: Loss of Life Visualised.

This may have been done before, but it’s sobering to actually visualise the total estimated casualties of WW2. This video gives an idea of the unbelievable amount of suffering world wide during the six years of the conflict and is well worth a look to put the whole thing into perspective, the Russian losses alone are almost unbelievable.

Regards, Ned.

Japanese GOOD LUCK Flag.

Good morning gents, I have just placed on hold this fine looking Japanese WW2 Good Luck Flag from our forum sponsor Fortunes of War Militaria. This is not my usual area of collecting but I could not resist the evocative look of this flag and Michael Bortner of FoW has been most helpful in responding to my questions.cool militaria I highly recommend anyone interested In Japanese items take a look on his site if you have not seen it before. I hope you like it. Leon.

Questions Regarding a Type 38 Rifle

Hi there,

I recently posted about looking for a helmet, but have also decided to look into purchasing an Arisaka Type 38 or Type 99 Rifle. However, I would like some help in determining the authenticity of this gun via some pictures. I know almost nothing about rifles and know even less about the Arisaka rifles. I would appreciate any help I could get!

I have two guns I am currently interested in, both are listed on gunbroker.com

The first one a Type 38
WWII JAPANESE TYPE 38 ARISAKA RIFLE W/ MUM : Curios & Relics at GunBroker.com

Second is a Type 99
Japanese Arisaka Type 99 7.7 Jap w/Hang Tag : Bolt Action Rifles at GunBroker.com

I have checked with the sellers and both guns are supposedly fully functional and able to fire live ammunition (not that I plan to do so, would just be a nice feature to say it has the ability to do so). My main concern is that these guys are not time period pieces. Thanks for your help!

P.S. Just realized this maybe should have been moved under ‘World Firearms,’ sorry about that!
