Description: Here is a truly great untouched M38. The chinstrap is present but has been cut. The liner shows some blood damage. The decal shows damage from whitewash. A very nice subtle green and red camo shows very prominently. Full inspection and return.
A newbie, here.
I am researching hand crank sirens, like the type that a Jersey member posted on this forum a few years ago. (http://www.warrelics.eu/forum/field-…slands-320340/) Does anyone know about the history of the manufacturers? For Germany, I see Helin and Mende. I suppose these sirens were part of a soldier’s kit, to be able to warn civilians of upcoming air raids? Or would they have been for home use by civilians themselves?
Looking forward to your responses!
Luk
Totally new here, I am (re)searching (for) a hand crancked siren of the manufacturer "Mende". To use the forum properly, I would like to know which subforum I should enter to discuss such an item. I don’t know if the siren was military or civilian, and, if the former, whether it would have belonged to a soldier’s or platoon’s kit. It isn’t even clear to me whether it was really a war-time tool.
Any assitance is greatly appreciated. Here’s an image of the siren:
Thanks in advance for any help,
Luk
