Hi all.

I recently acquired a vet captured lot that includes some really nice pieces, including this ammo pouch labelled with the soldier’s name, division and regiment info (it also includes the belt, buckle and two utility loops that it was attached to - not shown in photos). The label is hard to read in the photos, but it reads…

My questions are:

1. Is there any way to research this soldier based on this data?
2. How is his unit info supposed to read exactly? Is it "5th Panzer Division, Regiment 1"?

Hello,

I got this German helmet offerd to buy. Supposed to be a m40 heer helmet.
I only got these 3 pics. So got no neck number etc. yet.
Can anybody see at first glance if it’s worth my travel to go check it out and maby purchase this helmet?

Hi buckle maniacs! Here is my first for the year, I really like that it’s marked on the wrong side. The mark is not very visible but it’s there!
The front look better than I thought from the sellers pics, that’s good news!
It’s my fourth HJ buckle this far.

I’m considering getting a new camera , I have a Cannon power Shot S5 IS ( 8 mp ) with is getting old , but it does have a Super Macro lens . It still takes pretty good macro shots . My question is would it be worth while replacing the camera , I only have around 400$ to spend , also will my lens fit a newer body ? Thanks for your time .
