Ssh36 1937

this one has what looks like a field-made liner made from wrapped bandage tape. perhaps the original liner was pulled out to accommodate an ushanka or balaclava during the cold winter months and later the soldier needed to wear it during the warmer months, without the warm headgear. just a speculation on my part. it also appears to have some name scratched under the front visor. i can just make out a few letters (К and Л perhaps) but not enough to identify a name…

Need help! Looking for a picture

Hello,

I’m looking for a picture of Fritz Amreich (1895-1945), Kreisleiter of Mürzzuschlag (Gau Steiermark, Ostmark) 1938-1941. I couldn’t find any photographs of him in the net.

Thanks!

Question SS/SD tunic with empty cufftitle - ask for help

Hi guys,
I would like to know your opinion about this tunic with SD empty cufftitle. I belive the tunic itself is original m42 type but made in 1944 but is the cufftitle original? And should this tunic have nco or officers insignia or both types are possible for this tunic? In case of restoration. Any opinion and help is welcome.
Mike

* Floating Fortress:" The Battleship Wisconsin in Action NEW! This is a unique look inside an Iowa class battleship, the U.S.S. Wisconsin, during the Korean Conflict. Essentially unchanged from World War 2, the Wisconsin provided fire support for amphibious landings and inland battles, hurling 16 inch shells 20 miles. The Wisconsin was a floating city at work. You’ll see all aspects of daily operations including inside the gun turret in action, on the bridge, the fire control center, messes, bakeries, butcher shops, the PX, print shop, the engine room and much more.

*World War 2 US Navy Radiomen NEW - Restored Color! See Navy Aviation Radiomen handle communications & repair aboard a Jeep carrier, on a long range bomber and in action in the back seat of a Dauntless Dive Bomber, where they doubled as an observer, navigator and rear gunner!

*Target Tokyo: The first B-29 Mission NEW! Follow the men of the 21st Bomber Command and their B-29 Super Fortresses from their training base in Grand Island, Nebraska, to the newly built air base at Saipan and right into the first 3,000 mile raid on Tokyo. Great up close and personal footage of the lives of air & ground crews, along with rare B-29 combat film shot on that first big raid on the Nakajima aircraft plant.

*354th Fighter Group Mustang Pioneers. Exclusive production. Rare color film of the legendary 354 Fighter Group, with over 700 Kills, the highest scoring American unit in Europe. You’ll see great aces like G.T. Eagleston and B.W. Carr at work and at play in their newly captured base in Germany in Spring, 1945, only a few months before war’s end. Nice scenes with the group’s well known P-51Ds too, including "Margie Maru" and "Angel’s Playmate." This was the first group to fly P-51Bs in the ETO. Amazing color gun camera film!

*Introduction to Dive Bombing You’ll learn everything from the basic theory of dive bombing to how to put your egg on a real target, including ships at sea. Navy SBD "Dauntless" dive bombers delivered fatal blows against the Japanese carrier force at the battle of Midway using the same techniques you’ll see in this film. A must for history buffs and virtual combat pilot’s alike.

*9th AF 262 Fighter Group P-47 Thunderbolts in Action. I produced this original documentary from dark, faded silent gun camera film footage from the Spring of 1945 over Germany. I’ve been able to restore it using digital technology. I’ve added additional info about the pilots and planes and added real P-47 Thunderbolt sound effects. Featured pilots from the 362nd FG are Alvin Lieberman, Robert A Jackson and the legendary Wilfred Crutchfield, flying his P-47 "Kentucky Colonel," attacking a wide variety of ground targets in March, 1945

*Go for Broke- Japanese Americans fight for their country Academy Award Nominee 1951 Go for Broke!” stars Van Johnson along with actual veterans of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team. The film tells the true story of the 442nd RCT, composed of Nisei soldiers, second-generation Americans born to Japanese-American parents, from training through combat. Fighting in Europe in World War II, they were the most highly decorated unit for their size & length of service in the history of the US Army, with one of the highest casualty rates.)

*Land & Live in the Arctic for World War 2 Airmen A P-40 pilot has engine trouble & a radio malfunction and makes a crash landing in deep snow & trees. Gradually, he remembers what he was taught to survive in the Arctic, or figures it out for himself — the hard way. Lots of useful cold weather survival skills are shown in detail’

We also show 1940-45 vintage WWII Army & Navy films and pilot’s manuals on how to fly the F4U, F6F, P-38, P-39, P-40, P-47, P-51, P-61, TBF/TBM, AT-6/SNJ, B-17, B-24, B-25, A-20, A-26, B-26, B-29, and Stearman N2S. Alert! - don’t miss the F-86, B-47 & B-58!

Need help! DAF Uniform

Hello, I have been searching for an original DAF uniform, I understand that they are rare. I found one on a site and I am thinking that the tunic is fake. There is no RZM marking and the coat folds the opposite way as seen in photos. I think the hat is original, it has the RZM label. I would love to hear comments from you all about this uniform. Thanks!
