HG Division Fliegerbluse for a Gefreiter

Hi all,

It has been quite a while since I dabbled in tunics, but this one came up locally, and it looked good to me, so pounced on it,
but I know there are some very good fakes out there, so ….. thought it best to vet this one before I get too hooked on it,
(I added the HG white piped boards, as it came with a set of Pioneer shoulder boards).

Many thanks for looking,

Best wishes

Bob

Opinions Needed on SA Feldherrnhalle Gorget Please

Bob,

If I’m in the wrong section on this please let me know and I’ll re-direct.

I believe that this is an authentic SA Feldherrnhalle gorget but I would appreciate all opinions, comments and feedback on it.

RZM M1/87 (= Fa. Karoline Gahr, München ) maker marked.

Thanks in advance,
Ed

Need help! Hasso von Manteuffel headgear pictures needed

Hi, I need to see some specified pictures of the General Hasso von Manteuffel wearing his General’s visor cap.
He used personal General’s visors without chin cord. I attach some photos. It’d be interesting to know if he wore any visor cap with cloth wreath and cockade

On the next picture we can see the General von Manteuffel on the left with his Major Hugo Schimmel on the middle. This major wear a cloth wreath and cockade like I’m referring.

Unit Histories - Great Research Site

The Bangor Maine Public Library has a great site with TONS of Unit History books from WW2 available in PDF form for download.

I just came across this today and successfully downloaded the "The Cross of Lorraine: A Combat History of the 79th Infantry Division, June 1942 - December 1945."

Many of these books were published after the war and were available to the Veteran’s.

Included in many of these books are Unit Rosters, which are helpful in researching individuals and confirming service in a given unit. The 79th ID book I downloaded also includes those who received awards, Bronze Star, etc.

A.S. Marked Panzerkampfabzeichen With Strange Patina

Gentleman,

This AS marked Panzerkampfabzeichen was acquired at our shop today mixed in with some general antiques from an estate in Ma.

Despite all the research I have done on it, I am not certain about it being 100% authentic.

Any assistance & opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,
Richie

Unissued SS decal for review.

Same for this unissued SS decal guys. May I have your humble opinions please.
I for myself don’t feel really confortable with it because it’s like a type that I can’t place anywhere…
I could think this is a Quist decal cause of the left rune comes under the break of the shield but then it also has very fat borders aswell. So… Thanks.
