MK2. New Zealand

This NZ Mk2 completes my my hunt for Commonwealth helmets, (at the moment anyway).
They are very hard to find but Mick kindly gave me a heads up, so here it is.
Quite worn & without a chin strap, not sure if it would have come with an NZ strap or Australian or British one. As the shells were made by Australia, liners the same, or British, only the chin strap lugs seem to be NZ?
Lugs dated 1941, shell stamped CS (Commonwealth Steel) 178, liner is British, & made by AG&Co 1942.
So do I need a British strap, Aussie or New Zealand strap?

Wolfsangel- Possible NSB (Dutch) WA pin? Or something else? Or a fake?

Hello all,

I call upon your knowledge to perhaps give me some clarification about what this pin is.
It features a wolfsangel, that much I know. But I wonder whether it’s authentic and if so what it possibly could be.

I’ve found a similar pin on the web, see the third pic. Which supposedly was a NSB insignia (Dutch National Socialism party) from the WA (brawler division). It does look very similar in its design, though the fastening mechanism is different and it’s a bit larger (~4cm in length). The way the pin works I suspect it might be meant to be worn horizontally. The 34th (Dutch) SS division apparently wore something similar which seems to be more correct in size.

Anyway, lot of suspicions but no definitive answer. Hell, it might even be a cheap tin copy made somewhere in the Eastern Block. I wouldn’t be able to tell.
