picked this tunic up today at a market.
from what I was told, that this man was a cook in Darwin in ww2.
I found the hair brush in the pocket. and what I think is 70 year old dandruff:( .
The guy that sold it to me said he will give me his diary and some other paper work that he has, later on.
The guy that wore this tunic had no family of his own from what I was told.
so I think it would be good to keep it all together. cheers mark.cool militaria
Its good to check in with you all. As some of you may know i am primarily an SS collector and early USAF. However, i have begun a quest and really need your advice.
I am desiring a LF&C US M-1918 Mk 1 Trench Knife. I have always wanted one. However, knives are not my specialty. With all the knock offs out there on this particular knife, i need help! Any sites or for sale adds that can lead me in the right area would be fantastic.
It does not have to be this manufacturer. Just as long as it is 100% legit.
here is my second and to now latest visor cap. perhaps some issues with it, but i think it is a beauty : ) were basically all Heer NCO visor caps the same, except the colour around the top which "displayed" which unit you were in (artillery, infantry etc.) anyone who can help me with the phrase "private purchase"? i have seen that in seller ads.
