M34 Square Dip Civic Helmet - Painted White w/ “9″ Stenciled On Each Side

Just picked this one up dirt cheap, a nice M34 square dip shell complete with liner and chinstrap, clearly original to the piece, which is equipped with one of those early spring buckle Tuck-Tite fasteners, bearing a US patent number, seen on many pre War civic helmets. The size 58 liner has the tabs for a neck flap and has 2 or 3 names penned in ink on the leather. The only one I can really make out is the one that was stricken -"Schultz". The white paint has been on the piece forever. I would guess it was war time painted white and the number "9"stenciled on each side, perhaps for factory guard use. Of course, maybe this was a post war refurbishment, who knows? All comments on the piece are welcome. Jim G.

One of a kind NS-Frauenschaft Banner?

Haven’t visited WR for awhile but I’m getting back in the game. I just bought this unique small banner that seems to be an original Women’s League banner with hanging pole, metal fringe, etc.

If anyone has any information about how or where this may have been displayed, please let me know! Thank you.

Nebelwerfer 15cm Rocket

Was not sure where to put this, as my last thread about restoring the StuG III armour was in the ‘Germany WW1 and WW2 armour, artillery and vehicles’ section, if it is in the wrong section moderators please move.

Well I did say I would find another little project and this is it, although I do not have the rear section that contained the explosives and the fuze, I will carry on with the restoration and keep looking for one.

Have had the rocket head for a while now, made a start on that last year. Gave the main body a good clean today and removed most of the rust on the outside. The main body is very pitted so will need to soak it in rust remover, this will also help the inside which I can not get too very well. Then it is a case of a lot of filler.

The last picture shows the head screwed on just to see how it looks.

Will update thread when I have done some work on the nozzle section.

M40 KM that just arrived in the mail!

872807872808872809872810872811872812872813

Just received this in the mail. It has provenance to about 1965 and I didn’t realize it when I bought it (Kijiji if you can believe it) but it is named to a "Vatter." The really strange thing is that it has a dent from the inside that is roughly bullet sized….. I think a very cool helmet for less than $500 CAD! Sorry that the pics aren’t better but the light isn’t great today and my camera just ran out of batteries.

M.
