Help identifying possible WW2 naval coat

I’ve recently acquired this coat and despite much effort I’ve not been able to find out anything about it. It looks almost like a duffle coat but without a hood and with a three button closure. I originally thought it could have been a naval explorers coat, however there is a label inside which looks like it would be a dated broad arrow one. From reading other posts, there seems to be lots of knowledgeable people out there, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

decal opinion please

Hi guys,

It has been a while since I saw somethinkg affordable with potential. It is an M40 repainted. But I have a couple of doubts. No pictures of the liner. Liner is an original, but looks to beat up compaired to the rest of the helmet. For the right price I don´t really mind put/together/helmets with all original parts. But I have concerns.. Maker and lot are not visible due to the repaint. So in short. helmet is an original shell, liner is original but maybe not to this helmet. But what do you guys make of these decals? and also the paint (or what is visible on these decal pics)

Thanks a lot!

Need help! Named M1917A1 - No Luck with ID

We picked a nice named M1917A1 helemt at an antique shop over the weekend but I’ve not been able to come up with any specifics on the soldier, maybe one of you experts at this stuff might have better luck.

Written on the liner it looks to read as follows:

P.F.C Preston

Hq. Det., 3Bn, 185 EnJ (??)

Any help with this ID would be greatly appreciated.

Russ & Son

Just a buck

Was out of town hunting this weekend. I got in the woods nice and early brought my son for his first time. We are sitting in the stand 20 min and I hear" can we go home now". No then like clock work it starts to rain and then it starts to pour. We went home. But when we got back to the in-laws I went and hit some antique shops. Nothing WWII. On the way back I passed a estate sale I walk in ask any military "had alot of military sold early". So I walk around anyway and down in the cellar hanging on a wall was this shirt. I asked a guy how much he said "just a buck". I said OK asked if he had more said they just found it or the military guys would have gotten it in the morning. So it wasn’t to bad a day.
