Hasler certainly was made of the right stuff.

I wonder what he thought of the two two raid happening at the same time and of the cost in lives.
Very interesting to read about his later years also.
Hasler later raced the Junk rigged Jester. That chapter and his invention of the self-steering gear is also very interesting.

Here is a piece that is in my collection. I purchased it because the price was reasonable, and it needed someone to love it and care for it.
It has a triple etch on the blade.
When I purchased it, there was rust on the blade, some of the wire wrap was missing, and the blade runners needed work as the blade did not insert into the scabbard properly. I will post the photos in a before and after sequence so that hopefully the differences can be seen.
