Weekend Find

I spent this past weekend helping my Brother-In-Law painting my In-Laws lake house. My Father-In-Law, a WW II vet, passed away last April. He and I used to spend hours at a time discussing his combat expierences as well as my interest in collecting WWII uniforms, equipment and insignia.

During the last years of his time with us, I was firtiunate to receive from him a 1939 dated Fliegerblouse he picked up in France, a HJ dager, an arm band with Swatzika, a cuff title and several other small pieces of German militaria. One piece he showed to me with the promise it would be part ofy collection one day was a small hand gun (PPK?) and brown leather holster; pretty sure it was Luftwaffe issue.

I had hoped to take possession of that pistol this weekend, but it was not to be found. B-I-L claims it wasn’t found and after searching myself, I gave up. What I did find, however, was an enlisted man’s belt and three buckles, one of which is a nickle plated (?) HJ buckle. I have posted pictures of my newest additions to my collection. I would like your opinions and comments on these buckles and the belt, German items are not my strong suit.

The belt with one buckle attached:

Last but not least, the silver colored aluminum buckle:

Mothers cross and Fur kriegs verdien 1939 medal real or fake? Value?

Came across these in some boxes I got from helping clean out an attic. I had put them on ebay last night and they were getting hits left and right but I guess Ebay doesn’t like this type of stuff as they were pulled this morning. So now I want to see if they are real or fake and what the value of them would be in today’s market. Also any suggestions on how to sell them off would be great. Thanks!

Grouping to Third Reich diplomat - original signatures Ribbentrop & Brünning

Grouping to Konsultatssekretär 1. Klasse Hans Ambrecht serving for the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the Third Reich.
The best part of the grouping is a large size promotion document with an original ink signature of Joachim von Ribbentrop (1893-1946), Foreign minister of Germany (Reichsminister) from 1938 until 1945. The document is in full size without rips or damage. It is 14.10.1941 dated.

Hans Ambrecht was awarded the Knights Cross to the Bulgarian St.Alexander Order and the Knights Cross with Crown to the Bulgarian Royal Civil Merite Order. There are the two large size Bulgarian certificates issued to Ambrecht as well as the two German documents confirming Ambrecht was allowed accept the orders. Both say “die Genehmigung zur Annahme” and are issued in Berlin. One comes with an original signature of Meissner. Both look slightly cut one the edges.

There are two DIN A4 size German versions/translations of the Bulgarian certificate to the St. Alexander Order.

Finally there is a March 1932 dated promotion certificate issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1932 with a rare original ink signature of Reichskanzler Heinrich Brünning (Reichskanzler from 1930 until 1932, after him von Papen, von Schleicher and Hitler). It promotes Ambrecht to an Konsultatssekretär.

The two Bulgarian orders are both in very nice condition and both come in its red case of issue. The enamel is in nice condition. There are no chips or any other sort of damage.

A nice and rare grouping to a Third Reich diplomat.
