I brought home today a kriegsmarine schirmütse from a flea market with some other items,
I really wanted a visor cap for some time so when I saw this one I was became completly vurnerable imagining it maybe served on some U-Boot or Bismarck maybe.;)

SA-6002d.jpgHello all! Just got my first SA Dagger and love it! I used the pics from Lakeside Traders site with Paul’s permission while my camera is down. Strange dagger this one. It has an early period blade and scabbard, Nickel eagle in the handel but plated cross gaurds. I know what your thinking, parts dagger right? Well, the cross guard to blade fit is tight with no gap and the scabbard also fits snug with no gaps an has matching patina. Paul thinks it was likely made when plated cross guards were starting to faze out solid nickel. Anyone seen other examples like it? Maybe an early transitional? Let me know what you guys think.

This is the other thing that arrived this week. Been looking for one of these at a reasonable price and finally jagged one. Got alittle damage on the lid but its in good shape and still screws off. Would I be right in saying its the first model of holder that went in the pocket?
