Need help! Deutsches Schutzwall-Ehrenzeichen and Winterschlacht Im Osten Lot

Hello Guys,

I’ve come into contact with a dealer and he has 4 medals for sale and I’m looking at buying all of them.
I’m not to sure on these medals, the ribbon on the one West Wall medal looks off and they "don’t glow" but that doesn’t mean to much in the world of collecting now days.

Thanks for your help

Cody

What do you guys think about this "Norwegian Kongsberg KV M-1914 kaliber 11,25 m.m Colt"
Prodused in 1941.
I doubt I can get a closeup on the numbers etc..
I’ll have to have a colt and a M1 Garand in my collection now :P

Thank you!

SA Truppenfarbe Question

I don’t have my references at hand, and I am drawing a blank on this.

This Kepi (it is real) is listed as being for a Staff Member of a Gruppe. It is listed as being bright red.
I cannot recall any SA staff elements that wore the ponceaurot instead of carmine.

Anyone else know of the same?

At the right inner side is makermark EF6.. last number is difficult to read. I guess it’s ‘4′.

The serialnumber is 11753.

Properly afraid now

There have been news in Finland about Russia threatening Finland, that if Finland joins NATO, Russia will see Finland as a threat to the safety of their country. There has already been tensions inside Finland about the possibility of joining NATO. Now that Russia is being really negative and threatening about the NATO question, I have a feeling, that there is a small chance that Finland joining NATO could lead to a conflict between Russia and Finland. To make things worse, the Russian government seems to be really protective about border safety.

De-act weapons exhibition, Alness, Ross-shire, Scotland

Hello Gents! been a while, as usual, Hope your all keeping well!

Ive just returned from a cruise ship job (talk and demo) around Scotland and found, completely by chance a very worthwhile exhibition of de-act weapons and militaria ( 30 plus weapons) run in the Alness Hertiage Centre, Alness, Ross-shire by a lovelly chap called Mr Wilkinson, as I had my wife with me I couldnt spend as much time as I would have liked but strongly recommend it to anyone who is passing or convenient to the area! It runs until the 30th of this month.

As my dear good lady was politely fuming outside (mentioning that a working break without talking about smelly helmets and guns would be a nice change) I couldnt get any photos, sorry! but there are some gems worth a look there, including an early Patchet 9mm (Stirling) and a nice early dated L1A1 SLR.

Hope its of interest.

Best wishes

Reg :D
