My M1 liner seems to be a cheap replacement piece. I cannot figure out how to adjust it to fit the circumference of my head. It seems to be riveted with black rivets which lie under a foam cover that was glued on. Any help would be really appreciated.

Thank you everyone for your input. I just wanted to share these 2. The bravery medal looks like someone used silver polish on it, the ribbon looks to me like it might be original, it’s stained and well worn, the ring is still soldered. The war service has most definately been "refurbed" the ring isn’t soldered, and the holder and ribbon are in very nice shape, no stains or wear. Overall, very neat medals. Now I just need an idea to display them with my M91/30s and M1895s.

I’m thinking about sending in an absentee bid on this lot of military patches. The Luftwaffe sports shirt eagle is original, so I figure there is a good chance the SS tab is good. Let me know what you guys think so far, I’m still waiting to hear back from the auctioneer on a picture of the reverse. The auction is Saturday. Thanks

I picked this up at an antique mall today for practically nothing. I mainly collect US items, but I couldnt pass this up, even if it turns out to be a reproduction. I have a couple others that I’m fairly certain are fakes, but this one just has a different look and feel to it. Its also just slightly flimsy, whereas my others are very stiff.

I’d really appreciate any opinions.
