Original or not? I need your help. i want to sell this iron cross, but i dont know if is original. It retaining 90% of its black finish, and absolutely no rust or corrosion, The reverse shows average age patina, with hinge, pin and clasp functioning perfectly.

Hello everybody! I came across this helmet in a garage sale on a farm in Illinois near Chicago and have no idea when it was made or what war it was from, I’m thinking US WW2 but I have no clue! I’ve uploaded pictures in this post and hopefully that is enough to figure it out! There was something on the front forehead area that looks to be taken off, don’t know if it was a badge or what. Please let me know anything you may be willing to share with me about this particular helmet, where it’s from, what side, what war, and how much it could be worth if anything at all! Thanks.

Hello All,

Just thought I would share this with you. Where I live in Michigan there is a fairly large military cemetery. Toward the back of the cemetery is an area about the length of a trailer. In it lie a number of German P.O.W’s from the second world war. We (My family and I) were there earlier today to visit a grave of a friend who had served in the pacific. As I was walking along just remembering the fellow, I took note of a sign labeled German section. I immediately had an urge to walk over, as there weren’t many people around just folks visiting the surrounding graves of U.S service members. I looked around and when I was sure no one was in ear shot I began singing Lili Marlene. Upon finishing I walked back from whence I came. I just had an urge to do it so I did. Just thought I’d share.

Looking to find out if this sword is a German WW2 sword, if so I think I got pretty lucky. If its a dud I’ll still make a few bucks so no hard feelings. The sword is in pretty awesome condition, I have an SS Police Sword that is a little more obvious, but this one has kind of left us stuck.
