Today’s militaria and arms fair pickups
I went to a militaria and arms fair for today near Gardermoen airport, Oslo, Norway. The fair was a lot larger this year than before with many interesting objects, plenty of heavy machine guns and rare WW2 weapons this time(Unfortunately out of my price range).

Mosin Nagant, not in the best of condition, but I really liked the look of it, plus, it was quite cheap(Details will be in a different thread:

Doc set - one of the first of the Feldgendarmen
Between the wars Germany did not actually have any proper Military Police. When MPs were needed for major troop movements such as the Anschluss with Austria, or the invasion of the Sudetenland, personnel from the civil police (usually the Gendarmerie) were temporarily attached to the army.
Walter Tronnier was one of these.
41 dated British Solar Topee
I picked this up today in another local antiques market, 41 dated and maker marked, with the foil lined dome. It has been overpainted white on top of it’s original khaki tan colour.
A bit salty, but a used example.
MKIV ‘Turtle’ helmet.Raw edge.
Just thought id show my new find for today.Its a MKIV helmet but slightly different in that it is a raw edged version.Shell is a 1953 BMB and the liner is CCL also 1953.
