ww2 Intrenching tools

Lately i was looking in war relics and saw a post dioscussing german and swiss e tools after a brief search i began to look thru my collection and discovered a swiss entrenching on one of my german ww2 mannaquins,. It was exactly described as a swiss tool right down to the makers name whic in my case was fash 43. I noticed that a lot of these type E tools have been sold as orignal german ww2 issue spatens. embarrassed by what i discovered i immeaditly began looking for a replacement orignal and purchased a modest one from militaria 1944. It is a good exampel with makers logo and date 1941 and satisfied i replaced it in the empty case to my mannaquin. This swiss tool has permeated a lot of collections and has even become the model for the century 21 german 1/6th scale dolls just to point out how far they have fooled the collecting community. I thought for the sake of some not unlike myself to show the suttle differences between these tools. I also have a us entrenching tool ammes made and what was siold to me as a ww2 russian e tool of which im not really certain looks a lot like a german ww1 tool to me so i need your help on that if you will.

My wall o’ helmets/room display

Hi guys,

I bought a couple of bookcases the other day and spent a couple of hours reorganizing my room and putting everything together. I think it all turned out quite nicely. As it turns out I have 16 ‘nice’ helmets. There are a couple of placeholders in there, for example the repro SS helmet cover, but things like that will hopefully be replaced sometime. I also have most of my documents and nicer insignia framed up on the wall. I hope you guys like it! Let me know if you want to see anything in detail, although most of this stuff has been posted individually.

I’m planning on picking up one more of these bookcases to display my soft caps and various bits of nicer field gear that I own. Feel free to shoot out suggestions!
