I have a bayonet I got with a mauser I bought about 7-8 years ago. I’m trying to identify the manufacturer etc. If anyone could help that would be great. The bayonet’s serial number is showing as 298882. It has a name on it that is hard to make out totally but it looks like: OPEAY3ERE with the number 44 right under it, the letter R actually looks like a lower case h but crossed like a T.
The sheath has a serial number of 6558. If anyone could help I would appreciate it. I think it is german but you never know.
THanks
