Question Panzerkampfabzeichen
Militaria and WW2 history forum and topsites. Sõja ajaloo portaal.
Having moved to Sydney for 18 months, and only bringing a few items with me for display, I thought I would slow down, due to lack of space, and not do much collecting
HOWEVER….since Dec 2011…. Well here’s a list
SS M40 relic
Beaded LS M40
West German helmet
2 party badges
3 tinnies
3 Hindenburg crosses
2 unapplied helmet decals
HJ knife, bread bag, belt and buckle
3 winterhilf booklets
K98 parade bayo….gift
1 NSDAP health card
3 drivers badges
1 Australian sweetheart badge
21 various West German beret badges
2 east german unit wall hangers
15 various small relics
1 M42 relic
1 terezin bank note
I think that’s most of it!!!!! Talk about scatterbrained collecting!!!!
Sadly, due to the UK teaching curriculum history covering the WW is limited at best. My step daughter (now 32) didn’t even know who Hitler was at 22 and I wouldn’t class her as stupid. LOL.
Thought it might be a good reference guide for Hollywood or independent films / series that have graced our screens (other than those independent re-enactment youtube vids). I’m taking feature length films or public televised series.
My favorites are
The World at War originally shown on ITV, 1973
Das Boot by Wolfgang Peterson, a personal favourite
