Militaria and WW2 history forum and topsites. Sõja ajaloo portaal.
Also some pics of the ones I already have, which gives me 3 wartime examples (post nov 1943) in total and 3 1948 onwards examples (including a detail shot showing the Bevo type weave, as these were made post war in Germany).
I’ve visited the somme a few times and have always found these objects each time, could anyone help me identify them?
I look forward to posting on this forum!
Thanks,
John

Description:
Offering this nice and salty, one piece Schinkel EK2 (thought to be from Otto Schickle). One of the harder to find crosses, it’s in well worn condition with a piece of narrow original ribbon. The small ring is detached from the front of the cross, but not loose and the larger ring will not slip through the gap.
As a bonus, I will throw in this worse for wear late war zinc party badge. It’s the painted type and as you can see the paint is flaking off. Marked on the reverse RZM M1/105 (Hermann Aurich, Dresden).
Asking €120 plus shipping and paypal fees (4%).
Heres a few pictures from Saturdays hunt,

Quite a rare badge this. Formed around 1902 due to the concern of our poor performance against the Boers in the South African War. The League called for compulsory conscription and training. Died out circa 1916 around the time of compulsory call-up. It resurface to a degree during the inter-war years and again around 1945 before being made redundant when National Service was introduced.
