MkII TRO Helmet

This helmet survived the cull my collection went through a few years ago, mainly because I hadn’t managed to identify what TRO stands for.

It’s a BMB (no visisble date) helmet with a BMB 1939 liner, in obvioulsy poor condition. The helmet was original black, the outside was painted white/cream at one point and has some marking on the front which I can’t make out. This has been overpainted in yellow and the T.R.O. added back and front.
The strap fixings are off center and have been punched again but as a mirror image, and off center again. Somebody has attempted to clean or preserve it with some sort of oil which has dried, I haven’t bothered to clean it.

The only yellow painted helmets I know of are the Gas Identification Officers, I have also seen a black one for sale on e-bay (below) a few years ago.
Does anybody know what it could be?

My first EKII

I have been wanting to purchase one for several years, but other purchases kept getting in the way! :) Here is my first WWII EKII, a salty one that came with an envelope. I bought it thinking it was unmarked, however I was pleased to discover that the ring is stamped "55" for J.E. Hammer & Sohne. I like worn and "been there" items, and while this pales in comparison to the mint and shiny examples out there, I am pleased!

The envelope is not maker-marked. Is this type correct for this maker?

The edges of the cross aren’t pretty and have some oxidation. I am the type that leaves things alone, but would anyone recommend any cleaning to better preserve it? All feedback and tips are most welcomed!

Thank you for any advice!
Johannes

Question Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston - Diaz collection

Supposedly a collection of arms of the late Porfirio Díaz was donated to the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario in 1938.
Does anybody know if this is so and if yes, is the collection on display?
And what does the collection consist of?
Thanks in advance.
