What are these?

A buddy of mine brought these to me the other day and was wondering what they were. They are brass cased, rimmed, center fire projectiles. The projectile is threaded at the base and approximately twice as long as the case. The only conclusion I can come up with is that they are launching projectiles designed to be inserted (screwed into) a larger projectile, possibly a mortar or rifle grenade. There is no headstamp on any of the cases but they are all painted with a different color. I assume the paint is to identify different powder charges for ranging.

Advice for K98 wall mounts.

Hey all. I’m seeking any advice you could please give me on hanging a K98 on the wall. Are there certain wall mounts I should be looking for? I can’t remember which member posted a picture of theirs, but it looked good. I own two K98’s that my grandfather brought back and would really like to display one of them.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Luke

Show Us Your Hussar photos!

Here are two from my collection. Both are from the Austro-Prussian war period of 1866. The one fellow is a Garde Hussar from the Kingdom of Hanover. The other is of a Prussian line Hussar regiment.

Looking for your thoughts on a K98 WKC Bayonet with interesting paint scheme

Hi,

This is my first German bayonet. I don’t usually buy bayonets, although the price was right and the paint scheme interested me. The both pieces are numbered “1843″ and the scabbard is marked “WKC 1940″, the blade is marked “40″ on the side and there are acceptance marks on the handle and on the tip of the scabbard.

I’m not sure if this is normal, although the blade has never been sharpened.

Does anyone have any idea what they paint may signify?

Thanks for your help!

P38 holster

I have seen this holster for sale, but have not been able to find a similar one to compare it too. The only ones I have seen are either hard shell or pebble effect leather soft shell, no smooth ones. It has a clear Woa 25 mark and maker bml/44 as well as the standard P38. Is this a good one? If it is then the asking price of $100 is cheaper than I have seen on any of the dealer sites.

Verwundetenabzeichen, 3, Wilhelm Deumer.

Here is a new addition to my growing Deumer collection. ;)
It has a little rubbing at the bottom, but this is the first one I have seen for sale.
I hope you like it as much as I do.
Ralph.
