Important! Submarine war badge with diamonds…………..

A friend called me because he knows someone with this badge…. it was in his hand today.. I was working and couldnt come see it… I asked him to take pictures…here is the only pic (for now) … Im sure these are highly faked… my friend checked the diamonds with a loup and they are real… I will get a chance to see it and have it inspected Saturday… anyone know much about these? (I know what they sell for ..I was looking for info on spotting fakes etc)

U-boat Badge with Diamonds
The U-boat Badge with Diamonds was a special issue award given to U-boat commanders who had received the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. This award was not given based on certain merits and was not an official war decoration, but instead it was given as an additional token of regard to Oak Leaves recipients. It was usually presented together when the Knight’s Cross with Oak Leaves was awarded. U-boat Badge with Diamonds

Instituted in 1941, this badge was similar in design to the U-boat War Badge but was made of gilding silver and had nine small diamonds inlaid on the swastika with the medal. Approximately 30 were awarded with Admiral Donitz being one of the recipients. He wore a special version in which the wreath as well as the swastika was inlaid with diamonds.

I bought this Brehmer and understand it to be an original award. Please notice how the swaz has a unique stamp characteristic. I just love the little nuances in these awards! Also posted is a "glamour shot" with the ribbon that came with it. I believe the ribbon is original but really don’t know anything about the ribbons. If this maker has any unique traits, please educate me!

Question American Civil War Musket?

Hello, all!

A teacher that I work with approached me with this musket. I am not really interested in American Civil War militaria, so I passed on it and agreed to help her identify it/ give her an idea of the value of it so she doesn’t get ripped off if she decides to sell it.

I know it’s in rough shape, but could anyone be so kind as to help us identify it/ put a value on it?

I am not really knowledgeable when it comes to pre-WWII militaria, so I’m posting the pictures here. Please help!

Question WWI Doughboy Helmet Gift!

A teacher that I work with mentioned that she had a helmet for me. She said she heard about my "hands on history" lesson, and she’d be proud to give me her great grandfather’s helmet. She just sent these pictures and I’ll be able to pick it up tomorrow. What do you fine ladies and gentlemen think?

She also said that she has an American Civil War musket that she’d be willing to sell… She sent me pics of that too, but it looks like it’s missing pieces, and to be honest, it really doesn’t interest me.
